
The latter, alliteration, occurs when words are used in succession, or at least appear close together, and begin with the same sound.

These include anaphora, enjambment, and alliteration. Seuss makes use of several poetic techniques in this poem as well. For example, there are several endings that rhyme with “you,” one of the most frequently used words in the book. The rhyme scheme throughout the poem is more consistent in some places than others. These remind the reader that they are lucky to be who they are and they should appreciate it.
